Description
Supports newcomers to successfully transition into life in Canada.

Service provides:

  • assistance to help newcomers learn about their community, navigate access to mainstream and community services and resources, develop stronger connections in their new community in Canada, and connect to new networks and support groups

Supports include:

  • knowledge about life in Canada

  • personal growth / capacity development

  • educational system, programs, and skill development
  • community involvement, resource fairs, and events
  • family dynamic sessions
  • responsive, specialized projects led by collective interests of newcomer clients
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • permanent residents
  • refugees and refugee claimants
  • family class immigrants
  • Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) visa holders
