Provides support to build parental / caregiver resiliency by focusing on the family unit and fostering family wellness.

Service offers:

  • support from Indigenous Family Liaison staff to build parental / caregiver resiliency by focusing on the family unit and fostering family wellness

Staff enhance the family's capacity to support the growth and development of all members of the family by:

  • assisting to clear the obstacles out of Indigenous families' way to ensure they are comfortable seeking and receiving support services
  • providing cultural relevant and appropriate resources to caregivers related to the stages of child development, parenting skills, and other knowledge for fostering healthy family development
  • supporting families where they live by providing mobile, flexible, and culturally appropriate supports and services
  • system navigation and community connection
  • parent education and support
  • culturally based program for families
