- Description
- Provides a mobile diversion response to vulnerable individuals who may be facing homelessness, mental health concerns, or addictions in Lethbridge.
Service provides:
- collaboration with concerned citizens, community businesses, and emergency services to address concerns regarding individuals who are intoxicated and require access to emergency shelter services or other appropriate housing options
- mitigation of problematic situations with both transportation and referral services as needed
- referrals to other community supports and works from a harm reduction approach for individuals accessing their services
- calls triaged according to need and to divert calls from emergency services (police, fire and EMS) to ensure the most at risk vulnerable are attended to first
