- This program supports children requiring tracheostomy with / without home invasive ventilation in Northern Alberta.
The Stollery's Pediatric Tracheostomy and Home Invasive Ventilation Program offers respiratory and airway assessment and management of children with a tracheostomy in place and with / without need for home invasive ventilation. Our clinic are multi / inter-disciplinary and work with community-based partners to provide integrated services to children and families including but not limted to:
- Airway assesment
- Respiratory assesment
- Access to the Stollery's Pediatric Sleep Laboratory for polysomnography studies
- Equipment assessment
- Education
- Home nutrition services
- Social services
- Speech language pathology services
Key Provider: nutritionists, pediatric otolaryngologists, pediatric respiratory physicians, speech language pathologists (SLPs) - Eligibility
- Yes, Children 0 - 17.5 years old with a tracheostomy in place and with or without home invasive vnetilation initiated by another clinician.

Waiting Period: Yes,Patients are triaged on weekly basis. A time frame will be decided at the time of triage according to our triage criteria and communicated to the referring physician within 2 weeks from triage.
