- Provides subsidized rental housing for low income families, senior citizens, wheelchair users, or individuals who cannot afford private sector accommodation.
Service provides:
- provides subsidized rental housing for low income families, senior citizens, wheelchair users, or individuals who cannot afford private sector accommodation
- a wide variety of housing options for families with low income with dependent children
- 2, 3, and 4 bedroom units as well as some wheelchair accessible units
- various housing locations throughout the city
- assistance through advocacy, information, referrals, and support to clients of Lethbridge and Regional Community Housing Corporation and Lethbridge Housing Authority housing and subsidy programs; support is catered to the specific individual and may look different depending upon the situation
Support for clients includes but is not limited to:
- letter writing assistance
- eviction support
- income applications
- budgeting assistance
- lodge/Housing applications
- family doctors
- referrals to community resources such as housekeeping, Meals on Wheels, counselling, insolvency and / or Money Mentors programs
Affiliation: Partnered with Lethbridge Housing Authority and Government of Alberta. - Eligibility

- with dependent children
- and income is below housing income limits
- Application Process
- Service Access: See below, To accesss service:
- submit a completed application, including an Authorization Form and supporting documents proving income amount
- some smaller caged animals and fish allowed; approval must still be obtained
- qualified service dogs are considered separately and must meet specific requirements
- some units are not pet friendly and do not allow cats or dogs, including service dogs
- for units that allow pets 1 cat or 1 dog is allowed; application and approval from property manager required
Referral Process: No
Waiting Period: Yes,There may be a waiting period. Priority is given to applicants considered to be in the greatest of need in accordance with the Social Housing Accommodation Regulation, therefore the date of the application does not always determine the order in which the applicants are housed.
