Offers fun activities that incorporate fundamental skills in early ages of development while working with assisted learning through equine partners.

Service provides:

  • fun activities that incorporate fundamental skills in early ages of development while working with assisted learning through equine partners

Includes:

  • both ground work and riding
  • riders working in pairs with a pony to challenge obstacle courses designed to stimulate problem-solving and sequencing skills and create self-learning and independence through play
  • positive changes in motor skill development and memory typically within 1 to 2 lessons
  • benefits such as: increased self-confidence, enhanced fine and gross motor skills, and improved concentration and attention span
Key Provider: certified riding instructors, trained volunteers
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • children 3 to 6 years
  • or children up to 48 inches and 65 pounds
Access to this program is open to children of all abilities.

$275.00 for a 10 week session, which includes a 30 minute lesson each week.

Therapeutic Rider Membership: $20.00 per calendar year or $10.00 per single session

Public Rider Membership: $45.00 per year or $20.00 per individual session
