NOTE: COVID-19 UPDATE # ALL COUNSELLING SERVICES WILL TAKE PLACE VIA TELEPSYCHOLOGY OR ZOOM VIDEO-CONFERENCING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Offers individual, family, and group counselling sessions related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Service offers:

  • counselling sessions that may address concurrent Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), mood symptoms, emotional regulation difficulties, gender related concerns, eating disturbance and body image disturbance, self-esteem concerns, social skills, and study skills
  • evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioural therapy, solution focused therapy, and behaviour modification
Key Provider: occupational therapists, psychologists
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to individuals:
  • age 10 and older
  • formally diagnosed with or awaiting a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • who are family members of a person affected by ASD
