- Provides trauma-informed support, referral, and information to victims of crime and tragedy.
Service offers:
- support to victims of crime and trauma
Includes:
- personal victim support by staff and volunteers providing immediate crisis intervention and support, face-to-face visits (temporarily suspended due to COVID-19), and telephone contact
- staff and volunteers provide an initial point of contact to navigate the justice system
- information to victims regarding the status of their case, court proceedings, and dispositions
- Victim Impact Statement forms and assistance completing forms such as restitution forms and financial benefits for victims of crime forms
- court orientation (with mock trial)
- court accompaniment (if needed)
