City of St. Albert Subsidy Program

Service offers:

• subsidy for low-income individuals and families to access recreation services and programs offered through the City of St. Albert
• individuals with low income can receive free local transit passes and / or discounted commuter transit passes

Each individual or family member that receives the subsidy is entitled to:

• 60 percent off an annual membership at Servus Place or 6 months free membership to either Servus Place or Fountain Park Recreation Centre
• eligible applicants will receive $150.00 per child in the family to go towards City of St. Albert progeamming such as swimming and skating lessons, performing arts courses, summer camps, and pre-school programs

For people living on limited income, access or use of a vehicle or recreation membership can be expensive and challenging to fit into a tight household budget. Access to recreation and transit can make a big difference for kids, youth, families, and seniors in our community. This program supports greater access to employment, community events, and healthy lifestyle and reduces social isolation.
