Drop-In Single Session Counselling

Offers single-session, drop-in counselling at various locations.

Service offers:

  • single-session, drop-in counselling at locations throughout Edmonton


  • single-session therapy that focuses on each individual's strengths and abilities to create an individualized plan for change
  • referral to other community services if required

Issues that can be discussed include, but are not limited to:

  • adjusting to life in Canada
  • alcohol and drug use
  • anger management
  • anxiety and depression
  • balancing work and life
  • grief and loss
  • lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) issues
  • parenting
  • personal or job stress
  • relationship issues
  • separation and divorce
  • sexual abuse (men and women)
  • trauma
  • women abuse / intimate partner violence or domestic violence

Each session will focus on one current issue.

Partnered with The Family Centre of Northern Alberta, Boys and Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area, Canadian Mental Health Association - Edmonton Region, Edmonton John Howard Society, Family Futures Resource Network, Jasper Place Family Resource Centre, Pride Centre of Edmonton, and Seniors Association of Greater Edmonton (SAGE).Key Provider: intern therapists
