Provides information, support and advocacy for those whose infant or young child passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.

Service offers:

  • support group meetings
  • 24 hour telephone hotline
  • education to healthcare professionals and the public
  • fundraising and funding of research activities into the cause of SIDS
Key Provider: peer support volunteers, physicians, social workers
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to individuals and families who have experienced:
  • sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS)
  • sudden unexpected death in infancy (SUDI)
  • sudden unexplained death in childhood (SUDC)
  • undetermined death of an infant or young child
 The death does not have to be recent.
