Service provides:

  • specialized early childhood mental health care in a small classroom setting

The family and care team work together to support the child's social, emotional, academic, and physical development. The program works to strengthen the family's ability to support their child by promoting parent confidence.

Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to children:
  • 4 and 5 years old
  • who are experiencing severe challenges managing their emotions and behaviour
  • and may also have difficulties in development, executive functioning, or learning
Application Process
Service Access: Professional Referral Required, To access service:
  • referral required by a health professional (such as a psychiatrist or therapist) or the child’s school principal through Alberta Health Services centralized intake
  • visit website for referral form; completed forms can be faxed to CASA Intake Services
The child must have a pediatrician or family physician to access the program.
