Description
Offers an 18 week employment-focused program for individuals with a self-disclosed disability.

Service provides:

  • an 18 week employment-focused program involving 8 weeks of skills training and 10 weeks of work experience, for individuals with a self-disclosed disability

Training includes:

  • communication skills
  • stress management
  • resumes
  • interview skills
  • computer skills
  • standard first aid / cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) / Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
  • food safety
  • service best
  • job search activities and individual certificates such as Proserve, as needed by participants
Affiliation: Funded in part by the Government of Canada.

  • individuals with disabilities
  • not eligible or in receipt of Employment Insurance (EI)
  • eligible to work in Canada
  • who are ready, willing, and able to work
