Assists people with Parkinson’s Disease and their families in dealing with Parkinson’s and receiving the care they need. Services include:

  • Investigation and diagnosis
  • Assessments, treatments and follow-up
  • Involving clients, families and caregivers in making the care plan
  • Assisting clients in having the confidence, skills and ability to manage Parkinson's
  • Education for clients, families and other healthcare providers
  • Assisting clients to see health care providers specialized in managing Parkinson's
  • Client and family support

Key Provider: dietitians, neurologists, occupational therapists (OTs), registered nurses (RNs), social workers
Eligibility
Yes, A diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease; or being investigated for same. Clients need to exhibit signs & symptoms of rest tremor, slowness/stiffness and gait disorder. Patients should have a family doctor that is able and willing to work with the clinic in the care and management of the client.
