Service provides:
- an emergency shelter and transitional suites to house youth in need
Emergency housing includes:
- access to a communal kitchen where residents can prepare their own meals or help staff prepare meals for all clients in housing
- youth support workers who work with clients in housing to establish goals and develop life skills as well as act as an advocate for them when needed
- staff available 24/7 through the emergency helpline
Transitional suites include:
- independent living quarters, with a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen / dining area, helping with the transition from living in our housing program to living independently in the community
- support services at the office in the Gateway Centre
- clients learn what their rights are as a tenant and learn valuable life skills such as budgeting and meal planning
