Description
Offers a housing program for youth, including emergency housing and transitional suites.

Service provides:

  • an emergency shelter and transitional suites to house youth in need

Emergency housing includes:

  • access to a communal kitchen where residents can prepare their own meals or help staff prepare meals for all clients in housing
  • youth support workers who work with clients in housing to establish goals and develop life skills as well as act as an advocate for them when needed
  • staff available 24/7 through the emergency helpline

Transitional suites include:

  • independent living quarters, with a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen / dining area, helping with the transition from living in our housing program to living independently in the community
  • support services at the office in the Gateway Centre
  • clients learn what their rights are as a tenant and learn valuable life skills such as budgeting and meal planning
