Description
Provides programs at the emergency shelter and in the community for families with children and youth who have experienced or witnessed family violence and abuse.

Service offers:

  • early childhood professionals available for all children to provide tools to cope with trauma
  • programs in-person and virtually
  • individual counselling for children or youth
  • family counselling with parent(s) and child
  • play-based therapy for children and families
  • parents can access parenting support and specialized childcare while attending appointments
  • financial literacy for parents
  • child development screening is conducted across various ages and stage
  • a multi-sensory room experience provided for the child and parent

  • navigation of community resources
