Provides essential support to newcomer students and their families to help them adjust to their new school.

Service offers:

  • essential support to help newcomer students, and their families, adjust and transition into the Canadian school setting

Includes:

  • general settlement support services for individuals and families
  • group orientation sessions for newcomers to Canada
  • Canadian citizenship preparation classes
  • information and referrals to community services
  • general counselling for individuals and families facing personal settlement challenges

Affiliation: Partnered with Red Deer Public Library.
