Description
Offers short-term support to anyone experiencing family violence, including individuals from Indigenous, newcomer or immigrant, or 2SLGBTQ+ communities.

Service offers:

  • short-term support to Indigenous, 2SLGBTQ+ and newcomer/immigrant individuals who may be experiencing family violence

Includes:

  • up to 4-6 sessions of support
  • emotional support
  • risk assessment
  • education about family violence
  • safety planning
  • assistance connecting to medium and long term supports in the community
  • access to interpretation services, childminding and transportation

Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to individuals experiencing family violence who identify as:
  • lesbian
  • gay
  • bisexual
  • trans (transgender or transsexual)
  • queer
  • two-spirit
  • Indigenous
  • or a newcomer to Canada
