Offers short-term support and information to those experiencing family violence.

Service offers:

  • up to 4 sessions of support to assist the immediate / crisis needs of people experiencing family violence

Includes:

  • family violence specialists working with clients to identify needs
  • emotional support
  • risk assessments
  • safety planning
  • psycho-social education
  • assessment of needs
  • referrals to immediate and long-term supports
  • support group for immigrant women
  • Lives on the Line initiative
Affiliation: Partnered with the Alberta Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) to offer the Pet Safekeeping Program.Key Provider: family violence specialists, ethno-cultural family violence specialists, childminding specialists
