TODAY Family Violence Help Centre, The


Description
Offers short-term support and information to those experiencing family violence.

Service offers:

  • up to 4-6 sessions of one on one support to assist with the immediate and short-term needs of people experiencing family violence

Includes:

  • assessment of needs
  • emotional support
  • risk assessments
  • safety planning
  • psycho-social education
  • system navigation and supported referrals to medium and long term supports
  • Lives on the Line initiative
  • Finding Our Voices support group for individuals who have experienced family violence and have left their relationship

Affiliation: Partnered with the Alberta Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) to offer the Pet Safekeeping Program.
