Provides information and a customized travel training program for people with various needs to use Edmonton Transit Service (ETS).

Service offers:

  • information sessions and a travel training program for individuals who may face challenges using the transit system

Includes:

  • several information sessions with both video and verbal presentations
  • an overview of Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) accessible services and features
  • route and service brochures
  • vehicle demonstrations when possible
  • customer tools such as a bus hailer kit, and communication and mobility cards

Inquiries or complaints accepted by 311.

Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • newcomers / immigrants
  • seniors
  • persons with disabilities (physical, cognitive, developmental, or mental)
  • and agencies or organizations that work with the above client groups
Participants should be able to understand basic classroom instruction and have the capacity and interest to learn how to use transit independently.
