- This service assesses and treats children admitted to the Stollery Children's Hospital with Gastrointestinal issues.
Provides assessment, diagnosis and education in treating illnesses related to the gastrointestinal system, such as:
- short gut
- irritable bowel syndrome
- crohn's disease including liver related issues
The program is a referral center for liver transplant assessment and transplantation in western canada. Patient care is managed collaboratively by the CHIRP (Children's intestinal rehabilitation program) team and gastroenterologists.
