Description
Works with food bank clients as well as other agency clients to increase the food safety and food handling, nutrition, and budgeting knowledge of those in the program.

Service provides:

  • opportunities for clients, youth, individuals with low income, and those who may have significant food security challenges to develop skills and provide nutritional food and food knowledge

Includes knowledge of:

  • how to use food received in a food hamper
  • safe food handling and food safety
  • healthier lifestyles
  • nutrition
  • general knowledge of food security, including budgeting and purchasing
  • food rescue
