Work for Women Employment Program

Description
Supports women and gender-diverse individuals in pre-employment training and skills that assists them in potentially obtaining a job placement and long term employment. The program also supports employment and educational counselling.

Service provides:

  • an integrated approach to employment services for women and gender-diverse individuals who are at risk or are in contact with the legal system
  • support navigating records and employment

Workshop and individual 1-on-1 topics may include:

  • supports for finding employment
  • employment and / or educational goal setting
  • upgrading of educational level
  • support in resume / cover letter writing
  • interview skills
  • identifying transferable skills
  • job confident skills
  • self care and self esteem
  • job searching

Additional workshops are available that pertain the Work 4 Women program.
