Offers settlement services to newcomers to Canada in various library locations.

Service provides:

  • settlement services to newcomers in partner library branches in Edmonton and area, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, and Fort Saskatchewan

Includes:

  • assessing needs, barriers, and assets to successful integration
  • information and resources on settlement and immigration
  • access to programs and services
  • information on Canadian culture and how to function competently in the community at-large
  • supportive counselling

Affiliation: Edmonton Public Library, Fort Saskatchewan Public Library, St. Albert Public Library, Strathcona County Library
