  • workshops on topics including taxes, budgeting, Alberta human rights, and immigrant entrepreneurial programs
  • employment-related assistance, such as job search, resume / cover letter, and interview preparation workshops
  • referral and information supports for effective settlement
  • Canadian Citizenship Exam preparation classes and conversation circles

The 1-Step resource room gives access to:

  • labour market information
  • community services
  • newspapers
  • books
  • computers and Internet
  • photocopiers
  • telephones
  • fax machines

  • newcomers to Canada who are permanent residents, landed immigrants, Convention refugees, or temporary workers under the Live-in Caregiver Program
  • who are 18 years and older
