Provides settlement services to newcomer parents and students in partner schools in Edmonton and area and Grand Prairie.

Service provides:

  • settlement services to newcomer parents and students in partner schools

Includes:

  • supporting the transition of newcomer students into the Canadian school system
  • providing information to newcomer parents and guardians about life in Canada
  • encouraging parental involvement in the education of their children
  • connecting newcomer families to relevant community programs and services
  • helping newcomer students adjust to Canadian school culture
  • assisting newcomer students to develop peer and social networks
