Description
Provides services in partner community schools and partner facilities to enhance the newcomer children and youth's settlement, resettlement, and integration through leadership development, life skill training, academic support, physical and recreational activities, and workshops.

Service offers:

  • services in partner community schools and partner facilities to enhance the newcomer children and youth's settlement, resettlement, and integration

Includes:

  • information and referral to appropriate services based on the children and youth's needs
  • social and recreational activities such as field trips, sports, games, and events
  • spring, summer, and winter camps
  • academic support
  • life development
  • life skill training
  • workshops
  • Newcomer Youth Community Music Club
  • Newcomer Youth Wellness Program - a new program in collaboration with the City of Edmonton

Affiliation: Partnered with Edmonton Public Schools and Edmonton Catholic Schools.

  • 10 to 24 years
  • who are permanent residents and refugees new to Canada
  • and are attending a participating school
