Service provides:

  • basic legal information on family law to people with low income
  • assistance of law student caseworkers acting under the supervision of advising lawyers

Topics may include:

  • custody / guardianship
  • divorce
  • separation
  • child and spousal support (also referred to as "maintenance")
  • matrimonial property
  • common-law relationships
  • where to go if you need more in-depth information or help

Also offers a Do-Your-Own-Divorce clinic where people can get assistance to file for their own divorce.

  • or University of Alberta students
Does not represent anyone in the Court of King's Bench, except for child support applications.
