Service offers:

  • non-taxable benefit dependent on household income as well as the number of and age of the children in the household
  • annual benefit amount ranging from up to $6,833.00 per child younger than 6 and up to $5,765.00 per child ages 6 to 17
  • distribution of funds on the 20th of each month, except in August which is paid on the 19th, November which is paid on the 18th, and December which is paid onthe 13th

  • Connecting Families initiative to provide below-market-rate home internet services for families that receive the maximum Canada Child Benefit

  • families who have filed their tax return
Families receiving AISH, Income Support, and the child care subsidy are also eligible to receive the Canada Child Benefit without effecting eligibility for those programs.
