Provides support to Indigenous people who are involved with Children's Services.

Service provides:

  • support to Indigenous people who are involved with Children's Services

In and out-of-court assistance includes:

  • support to prevent apprehension of children
  • culturally appropriate assistance in dealing with family matters both in and out of court
  • developing a support network for families
  • access to a Family Courtworker who is trained in alternative dispute resolution
  • information about court procedures and legal rights
  • interpretation and translation services where available
  • reuniting families in the cases where children have been apprehended
