- Provides support to Indigenous people who are involved with Children's Services.
Service provides:
- support to Indigenous people who are involved with Children's Services
In and out-of-court assistance includes:
- support to prevent apprehension of children
- culturally appropriate assistance in dealing with family matters both in and out of court
- developing a support network for families
- access to a Family Courtworker who is trained in alternative dispute resolution
- information about court procedures and legal rights
- interpretation and translation services where available
- reuniting families in the cases where children have been apprehended
