- Description
- The clinic has a team of healthcare specialists who provide rehab services to patients with Rett syndrome (a rare genetic disorder that affects how the brain develops, causing severe physical and mental disability) and their families.
People with Rett syndrome have many complex health needs and gradually lose skills over time. Patients and their families attend the clinic once a year if needed, with various specialists scheduled based on their needs. Families must travel and stay with their child for a full day of appointments at Glenrose.
