Provides a court approved violence program.

Service offers:

  • a court - approved violence program for men and women who want to change

The program includes 2 phases:

  • Phase I - psychoeducational group therapy
  • Phase II - voluntary ongoing mutual support group

The goals of the group are to:

  • recognize and take responsibility for abusive actions
  • learn what kinds of attitudes, feelings, and behaviours lead to violence
  • learn non - violent ways to solve conflicts or problems
  • learn skills to treat others fairly and without violence

Key Provider: counsellors, psychologists, social workers
Eligibility

  • 18 years and older
  • who are or have been abusive to their intimate partners and want to change
