Matches volunteers with newly arrived immigrants or refugees.

Service offers:

  • volunteer matching with newly arrived immigrants or refugees in order to link the newcomers to the community and help them feel like they belong

Includes:

  • learning about Canadian norms and customs
  • help improving English language skills
  • information about community resources and how to access services
  • opportunities for volunteers to gain an appreciation for other customs and other cultures
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • immigrants and refugees 
  • who are permanent residents in Canada
Canadian citizens are not eligible.

  • call and speak to the Program Co-ordinator

Clients will be added to a waiting list and contacted when a suitable volunteer is found.
