Immigration and Settlement - Cross Cultural Counselling and Outreach Program

Service offers:

• free specialized counselling, support, and outreach services to immigrants and refugees
• support in strengthening skills and abilities to manage personal and family difficulties experienced in adaptation to life in Canadian society
• assistance in becoming familiar with and increasing ability to access resources available to all residents of Edmonton, as well as increasing the ability to participate more fully in the community

Includes:

• Learning and Community Enrichment (LACE) Program, delivered in partnership with the Edmonton Public Library (EPL), providing English conversation circles, help with applying for a free library card, a tour, and instructions on how to use the library
• LET'S GO Program providing hands-on learning about Canadian culture through field trips to learn more about notable social and historic aspects of Edmonton and Alberta
• Multicultural Senior's Group providing a meeting place for seniors to foster relationships and decrease isolation
