Provides Intervention Record Checks to professionals who want to work with children or youth, or adults applying to become a foster caregiver, kinship caregiver, or adoptive parent to a child or youth.

Eligibility
Yes,

Service targeted to:

  • individuals working with children and youth
  • applicants for a foster home license or renewal of a foster home license
  • applicants for a child and youth facility license or renewal of a child and youth facility license
  • those applying to be a foster caregiver, kinship caregiver, or adoptive parent
  • or any other adult residing with someone who is applying to provide care to children under the guardianship of Children’s Service
Application Process
Service Access: Application Required, To access service:
  • e-mail to request an Intervention Record Check form
  • contact a local office for information on how to apply
  • 2 pieces of identification (1 photo identification) are required to apply; acceptable identification must include the signature of the applicant and their date of birth
All offices are closed to the public due to COVID-19. Drop ins will not be accepted at this time.Referral Process: No
