Works with the South Sudanese, Nepali, and Somali communities to support men and their teenaged sons on their settlement journeys.

Service provides:

  • forums for participants to identify and problem-solve together to mitigate the risks of unaddressed stressors in their settlement experience that have or can lead to family violence
  • weekly meetings for each ethno-cultural group
  • a monthly forum for all 3 groups of men and their sons to discuss together relevant topics to them


  • approaching the challenges around creating safer families
  • exploring activities to build a new understanding and skills for navigating experiences and emotions that lead to conflict within the family structure
  • opportunities to strengthen relationships by doing activities together
  • a chance to talk about difficult family issues in a safe and supportive environment
  • information sessions for access to services and resources
  • support to boys in school for identity strengthening and academic skill development
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • men who immigrated to Canada from Congo, Nepal, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, or Syria
  • and their sons 14 to 20 years
