Description
Offers English as Another Language (EAL) classes to permanent residents or Canadian citizens.

Service provides:

  • English language classes to permanent residents or Canadian citizens

Includes:

  • vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, and conversational skills
  • opportunities to practice English in a non-judgmental environment
  • information to help with getting settled in Canada (such as housing, banking, citizenship, and how to get a job) and access to community resources
  • seniors classes for immigrants 55 years and older with access to a Community Connector outside of class to support them in connecting to community resources and organizations
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • immigrant Albertans
  • 18 years and older
  • who have a beginner or low intermediate level of English
Visitors to Canada can also sign up for a fee.
