Child and Youth Programs

NOTE: COVID - 19 UPDATE 05/03/2022: COUNSELLING WILL BE OFFERED OVER THE PHONE OR ONLINE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Provides programs for children and youth dealing with separation and divorce, as well as behaviour challenges, bullying, self-esteem, depression, and other emotional concerns.

Service offers:

  • Responsible Choices for Children program

            - 10 - week group therapy program for families

            - support with parenting, communication skills, behavioural challenges or bullying concern

            - children's topics include friendships, self-esteem, managing anger and frustration, and problem solving

  • Children of Divorce program

            - 10-week group therapy program for families

            -  help in reducing trauma from divorce or separation

            -  assistance in developing healthy parenting relationships

  • individual and group counselling available
  • separate group for parents

  • one on one session is required with a counsellor before being placed into a program
