- Provides assistance in recruiting volunteers for local agencies such as Calgary Police Service and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in ground search and rescue operations.
Service offers:
- search and rescue volunteer opportunities with training and equipment to members in all aspects of search and rescue
- assistance to search and rescue groups, as well as tasking agencies when called upon to perform search and rescue tasks or evidence searching

- age 18 and older
- with a standard first aid certificate (current within 6 months of expiry)
- in good physical condition
- able to contribute minimum 40 hours per year, after basic training
