Service offers:

  • short-term (up to 21 days) shelter for individuals and families fleeing abuse

Includes:

  • support, information, and assistance from staff while individuals plan the next step

Affiliation: Partnered with Alberta Council of Women's Shelters, Provincial Family Violence Treatment Program.
Key Provider: crisis workers, outreach workers
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • women and their partners
  • who are fleeing abuse
  • with or without children
Transgender individuals are welcome.
Application Process
Service Access: See below, To access service:
  • call crisis line for a telephone intake with a crisis worker
Shelter may pay for taxi to bring client to shelter if needed. Shelter does not have the capacity to accomodate service animals.  Outreach programming team working remotely. Only taking local clients who are fleeing violence in shelter if they do not have symptoms.
