Service offers:
- support, assistance, information, and referrals to victims of crime, violent acts, or accidental or natural disasters within the city of St. Albert, in order to minimize the effect of their crisis and help return their lives to a desired degree of stability
Includes:
- linking victims of crime to the justice system
- information and assistance
- emotional support in resolving issues that come up as a result of the crime
- referrals to appropriate agencies for victims needing legal information, counselling, or financial assistance
- court orientation, answering questions, accompanying the victim to court, and ensuring the victim is informed about court dates, and the result of the proceedings
