Description
Offers free legal information, services, and support to those experiencing family violence and in need of protection.

Service provides:

  • assistance to those experiencing family violence in getting an Emergency Protection Order to keep a violent family member from contacting them or their other family members

Includes:

  • preventing a family member from contacting a client and other family members
  • preventing a family member from coming to a client's home, school, work, and more
  • removing a family member from a client's home
  • ensuring weapons are seized

Can assist with:

  • Protection Order documents and court procedures
  • application for Emergency Protection Order
  • application for Emergency Protection Order Review hearings

Provides victims of family violence with:

  • ongoing information
  • risk assessments
  • safety plans

  • individuals experiencing family violence (actual injury to person or property, threats of harm, forced confinement, sexual abuse, stalking)
  • who are in an emergency or urgent situation
