Triple P - Positive Parenting Program

Service offers:

• parenting programs that aim to foster strong parent-child relationships by empowering parents with tips, tools, and strategies that encourage appropriate behaviour in their children with a strong emphasis on helping children learn, develop, and grow

Includes:

• discussion groups - 2 hour sessions with discussions related to challenging behaviour such as reasons for the behaviour, prevention, and positive responses; topics include dealing with disobedience, hassle free shopping with kids, managing fighting and aggression, and developing good bedtime routines
• group sessions - a 9 week group for parents to learn positive ways to raise children, how to problem solve, principles and strategies to nurture positive relationships and create a positive environment, support in developing plans to deal with misbehaviour, and homework tasks that give parents a chance to practice what they are learning
• individual sessions - 1-on-1 consultations with a trained Triple P facilitator to help parents deal with specific concerns they may have about their child's behaviour, and to create a personalized parenting plan
• seminar series - 1.5 hour seminars about positive parenting principles and strategies, with topics that include the power of positive parenting, and raising confident, competent, and resilient children
