STEPS Society of Red Deer

Service offers:

• outreach and career assistance for youth to reach their employment - related goals

Includes:

• individualized outreach - style supports
• access to an Employment Specialist who provides one - on - one community support, career and labour market information, job search strategies, and networking and marketing strategies to secure employment
• assistance researching career paths and developing a structured plan to reach that goal
• information and referrals for community supports
• follow - up support to assist individuals with maintaining their employment position

• 14 to 21 years
• who have a diagnosed disability and / or considered to be youth at risk
• residing in Red Deer, County of Red Deer, Ponoka, Counties of Ponoka, Lacombe, Clearwater, Mountain View, Blackfalds, Innisfail, Sylvan Lake, Rimbey, Rocky Mountain House, Caroline, Olds, Sundre and surrounding rural communities in the counties

• referral required from Child and Family Services and Family Supports for Children with Disabilities
• or referral required from Disability Related Employment Supports (DRES)
