Centre Stage Musical Theatre


Description
Teaches musical theatre techniques to individuals with Down syndrome.

Service offers:

  • musical theatre instruction for children and adults with Down syndrome

Includes:

  • teaching the art of singing, dancing, and stage presence, (including a final performance) with the assistance of 2 experienced instructors
  • theatre vocabulary, body awareness, being focused in the moment, and improvisational skills
  • performing monologues and scenes from literary works and those that the participants create themselves
  • musical training such as vocal exercises, singing, and dancing, both choreographed and interpretive
  • opportunities to¬†develop social skills, problem solving, co-operation, and make new friends
  • various classes based on gender and age group
