Provides support for families with infants 0 to 2 months old.

Services include:

  • newborn assessments including checking for jaundice
  • postpartum assessment for new mothers includes physical and psychosocial
  • assessment including domestic violence
  • support with infant feeding including lactation consultants to help with breastfeeding
  • parenting information
  • information about newborn care, safety, growth, and development
  • referrals to social worker support as needed
  • referrals to doctors and community services as needed

Yes, Families with newborn infants 0 to 2 months old who live in Calgary.
Application Process
Service Access: Professional Referral Required, Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information. The service can be accessed by professional referal. Self referral can occure via Early Start LIne if infant is less than 2 months old. PPCS does not provide Immunizations. To book an immunization appointment only, dial 811 Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
