- information, resources, and support to families expecting or with a new baby and / or children to help identify and address their needs and build on the families' strengths
Includes:
- visitations to a family's home on a regular basis
- connecting the family to resources in the community, such as employment, education, and medical care
- sharing information on child development, baby care, and positive parent - child relationships
- providing family literacy activities
- providing culturally sensitive and confidential support
