Provides safe, confidential accommodations and outreach supports.

Service offers:

  • short-term residence and support for women who are fleeing abuse or are in crisis
  • outreach supports for those not requiring residential supports
  • longer term Second Stage Housing

Includes:

  • information and referrals
  • 24 Hour Helpline - assists callers in meeting their immediate needs and concerns
  • Outreach Program - provides non-residential support services in person or by telephone
  • Joie's Phoenix House (JPH) - a second stage program that provides safe, long-term, and supportive accommodations
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • women
  • who are fleeing domestic violence
  • or who are in crisis
  • with or without dependent children
Bedrooms are separated by gender and are inclusive of cisgender and transgender women. Single stall washrooms are available. Outreach services are available to everyone, regardless of gender identity.
